“Sister Judy” in SISTER JUDY AND THE DELINQUENTS

“Parole Officer” in Reach Me

“Miss Politics” in I Am Death

Television
For seven years I worked with Kyra Sedgwick on The Closer as her dramaturge and acting partner utilizing my ability to mimic and do accents to play all the parts except hers. Using the director’s set plans to block out action, I scheduled and directed our challenging preparation so as to imbue the actress’s performance with credible authority, always ready with a well researched fact to illuminate the text and enhance the performer’s personal investment in the material. She received many awards and accolades for the character of Brenda including an Emmy and a Golden Globe. (see my Bio to view her Emmy acceptance where she graciously credits me with being part of Brenda)

Stage
For many years I have traveled playing the role of Sister in the franchised one woman show “The Late Nite Catechism”. There are five versions of the play, one of which is a musical. All have won critical acclaim, audience’s hearts, and awards including the Chicago Jeff award for excellence in theater and the Critics’ Circle award for several major cities, including Los Angeles.

Blanche DuBois in Tennessee Williams’, Street Car Named Desire at the Hartford Theater Youth Stage.

Lottie in William Inge’s,  Dark at the Top of the Stairs at the Lois Hall Theater in Chicago.

I have coached many actors over the years with great results.

My special skills include accents: French, Russian, English, German, New Jersey, Mid-Western, Southern, Australian, Spanish, New England Lock-Jaw, and many more voices!, singing and song-writing, swimming in competitive style, dancing, roller skating, fencing, speaking Spanish, French, and a little German; gluten free baking.

I attended Loomis Chaffee Institute and The University of Southern California, where I majored in Film and Television and minored in English; took classes at the Hartford Stage and the Goodman Theater, and been a part of Second City of Chicago’s Theater Shoppe. I have taken Robert McKee’s Story Structure, Terry Berland’s The Voice class, The Golden Paradigm at AFI, and an intensive course in Shakespeare at the Stratford Theater in Canada.
